Do I need locking caps on my AC unit?
California requires tamper-resistant locking caps on the refrigerant service ports of outdoor units. Many older units do not have them. We fit them on any visit.
Will a cage make my AC run worse?
Not if it leaves the clearances the manufacturer asks for around the coil and the fan. A cage that is too tight will make the unit overheat, so we build or fit cages to those clearances.
My outdoor unit was damaged. What should I do?
Switch it off at the breaker, do not try to run it, and call us. Cut lines release refrigerant, and a damaged unit can short out.
Do you protect rooftop units on commercial buildings?
Yes. Roof access is secured first, then locking caps, panels and line protection. Alarms and cameras are a separate trade we can coordinate with.
